This power-up can be used in any level, except the Egg Defender minigame, the last level of the Daily Challenge, and some levels in Tutorial, where it is disabled. In the original Angry Birds, and its Chinese version, the Power Potion is a power-up that was added in 2012 with the Surf and Turf update as the Super Seeds. The costs of the Power Potion in the shop are as follows: In addition, the enlarged character can be much stronger if the Power Potion is matched with the King Sling and/or a special slingshot. Whenever said character collides with an object, they will throw small purple particles. This will make them much stronger than before. When used on gameplay, the character on the slingshot will notably enlarge. Also, at the Star Cup, there is a chance that the player will be given a Power Potion for free. It can be obtained by opening gifts, though the roulette, or by buying it at the shop. Formerly known as the Super Seeds, it can be used on any playable character that is on the slingshot. In Angry Birds Friends, the Power Potion is a power-up that can be used in any level as long as the player has one. After it was renamed the Power Potion, it was redesigned to have an angrier Red with a bottle with a purple liquid next to him in an equally purple background. The wet plastering method can be used on a wide range of surfaces, including plasterboard, brick, stone and concrete. It is typically applied in small parts and can be used on small or big area. Wet plastering is the most traditional method used by professionals. This is applied to walls when wet using a trowel. Wet plastering involves the use of lime, cement or gypsum plaster mixed with sand and water. Here are some of the most common plastering methods: Wet Plastering The type of finish you get will depend on the plastering methods you choose. Plastering also adds some sound and heat insulation, and it is fire-proof too. Plastering provides a smooth, flat surface to internal walls and ceilings, ready for decorating with paint or wall paper. Screeds are needed to ensure that the plaster stays level, these wooden battens are nailed to the wall and removed after plastering. This will plenty of time for practice before attempting to plaster a wall in your home! The key to good plastering is to divide and tackle walls and ceilings just one section at a time and to prepare the work areas well.īefore starting the area should be clean and primed with a bonding agent if required. If you are serious about plastering you may want to think about going on a short plastering course just to pick up the basics. Wet plastering is the traditional plastering method but it is a difficult technique to master for a DIY enthusiast, so you may be best hiring a professional.Ī professional plasterer may be expensive but will achieve the perfect smooth flat surface an amateur could only dream of! Plastering walls yourself is possible, however, it is a very messy job and some plastering methods can be quite complex. If so, you may want to consider DIY plastering. To remove any excess plaster, sanding paper can be utilised. This will be sprayed onto the edges of the plaster and the plasterer will use a trowel to smoothen out the surface. Once the plaster has dried completely, the walls will then be polished using water. This is typically a thinner coat than the first, so it needs to be diluted further. Once the wall has been skimmed, smoothed and scraped, the second layer of plaster can be applied. They will use a devilling float with nails to do this. Some professional plasterers may opt to scrape the wall before adding a second coat. The corners and ends of the wall will also be skimmed to ensure a completely smooth finish. They will then use a trowel to smooth out any bumps in the plaster. Once the first layer of plaster has been applied, the plasterer will wait for around 20 minutes for the plaster to dry. They will repeat the process until the entire wall is covered. They will then apply the plaster on top of the PVA using a trowel and other plastering tools. The plasterer will mix the plaster until it's ready to be applied to the wall. This is an important step, as it will ensure that the plaster will dry evenly. Next, a PVA mixture will be brushed onto the wall. If your old walls are painted, a professional will sand and clean them off before plastering. They will then remove any dust or debris on the area that needs to be plastered and may also repair any holes or cracks they find. At this point, they may even remove furniture to prevent damage. To help you understand, the process of professional plastering, here's an outline of the process: Preparationīefore plastering, a professional will lay down dustsheets to protect flooring and any furnishings. What Does Plastering and Skimming Entail? In terms of materials, the cost is slightly lower but the labour costs are the same, so the cost for skimming a room is normally around £150 to £200. Skimming a wall is very similar to plastering a wall, except it's a smooth final layer which is added before the wall can be be painted. Replastering costs start from £390 for a small room and up to £700 for a larger space. To save money, you may want to consider re-plastering, which means the old plaster does need to be stripped on. The average cost of plastering a ceiling is around £200 to £730. Plastering a ceiling typically costs more than plastering a wall, as it is a more difficult task that takes longer, and thus costs a bit more. If you're planning to plaster an entire room, the cost will start from £600 for a small room and reach up to £1400 for a large room. The cost of plastering and skimming will vary depending on the type of the job and size of the area.įor example, you should expect to pay around £70 for a small patch repair, while the cost of plastering a wall is approximately £150. Step 2: Spawn a disaster with a small area of effect Place along that road a small ploppable building that doesn’t come with service workers (a taxi stand or small park asset works well for this). Then build a segment of road unconnected to the rest of your road network. Select an empty part of the map away from your buildings. Here’s an easy way to do this: Step 1: Build an isolated structure to destroy. To clarify: this means a building or structure must be destroyed by a disaster, but without anyone being harmed. You can work around this by creating a save file before hitting your city with disasters, and making sure autosave is turned off before spawning disasters. However, the scale of destruction of these disasters will be much larger (some will affect your entire city). You can spawn disasters from the Disasters tab of the Landscaping and Disasters menu. Improves city-wide emergency shelter services But there is no term for an individual animal irrespective of gender or age (unlike, say, “horses, a horse, stallion, mare, colt,” “sheep, a sheep, ram, ewe, lamb.”) One farmer I knew used to get around this by calling them “cattle-beasts.The aim of this article is to study “collective” nouns (i.e. “Cattle” is collective and plural bull applies to the male, cow to the female, and calf to the young. One interesting anomaly is that there is no general term for individuals of domestic cattle. There are a few idiosyncratic usages, such as “pod of whales” and “mob of kangaroos,” the latter obviously of fairly recent vintage. Herd serves for most grazing animals (except sheep, for which flock is mysteriously used), pack for social carnivores (except lions), flock for birds, swarm for insects, and school for fish. There are rather few collective terms that are used by naturalists. And I wonder how far back “school of fish” goes - akthough I believe it’s probably derived from “shoal.”) My guess is that very few of these collective terms predate the 1400s (these being herd, flock, pack though according to the OED “flock of seagulls” is a relativly recent usage. While I’m not sure of its antiquity, “murder of crows” may very well refer to their liking for carrion and thus battlefields and other scenes of slaughter. And “exaltation” is an entirely appropriate term to use for larks, which fly high in the air in their courtship display. Actually, the coiners of the terms were probably far more familiar with the hunting of larks (which were used as food during that era in England) than they were in hunting lions. But the only real difference between them is that pride of lions has survived in general use, and exaltation of larks has not. These do, in many cases, represent fanciful coinages, in part due to the need of the aristocracy to validate their superiority by deveoloping technical terms for every aspect of aristoratic pursuits such as hunting. Both terms are of similar antiquity and from the same tradition, that of venery (hunting). Thanks to JeffB’s cites from the OED, we see that exaltation of larks predates pride of lions. It’s possible some of these terms are only used by zoologists, in which case it’s jargon, or only by people trying to show how clever they are, in which case it’s bogus. For example, I don’t know the origin of “murder of crows”, but the only time I hear it used is when someone asks “What is a group of crows called?” (or when some movie executive is trying to be clever). Some terms are contrived, but that does not make them bogus. By your reasoning, a “pride of lions” is a bogus usage. I somewhat agree with you, but not entirely. Personally, unless the original meaning of “exaltation” meant group of larks- and we then applied the word to the common usages- I have my doubts.Īs a rule of thumb (not always true) if that “collective noun” is a word that normally has no group meaning, and it sounds “cute”, such as 'crach of rhinos"- then it is likely bogus. **Many of those 'collective nouns", such as a “crash” of rhinos, that that silly book “An exaltation of larks” list- were made up for a Victorian parlor game, and never actually used, or even intended to be used. *Originally posted by Danielinthewolvesden * Any number of moves can be retracted, back to the last non-retractable move, but each "undo" subtracts one from the score. Spider Solitaire has an " undo" feature that allows moves to be retracted. There are three levels of difficulty in Spider Solitaire: Beginner (one suit), Intermediate (two suits), and Advanced (four suits). Each of the ten cards in this draw lands face up on each of the ten horizontal columns and the player then proceeds to place these in such a way to create a sequence of cards all in one suit. Once a player has made all the moves possible with the current card layout, the player draws a new row of cards from one of the piles of ten in the lower right-hand corner by clicking on the cards. Once a complete sequence is achieved the cards are removed from the table and 100 points are added to the score. Each final sequence must be all of the same suit. The object of the game is to uncover all the hidden cards and by moving cards from one column to another to place cards in sequential order from King to Ace using the fewest moves. Other cards can be placed on it, and it can be moved to other cards in a sequence or to an empty column. Moving the top card in a column allows the topmost hidden card to be turned over. For example, a six and seven of hearts may be moved to an eight of any suit, but a six of hearts and seven of clubs cannot be moved together. However, a sequence of cards can only be moved if they are all of the same suit in numerical descending order. For example, a six of hearts may be moved to a seven of any suit. In the horizontal columns a card may be moved to any other card in the column as long as it is in descending numerical sequence. The remaining fifty cards are laid out in the lower right hand corner in five piles of ten with no cards showing. Fifty-four of the cards are laid out horizontally in ten columns with only the top card showing. The game is played with two decks of cards for a total of 104 cards. How is the vision programming, how accurate is it on the fine stuff, how reliable is it as to the machine, and also the picking reliability? Thanks much, Jon But, I'd like to hear more about how well your machine is working for you now that you've had time to run it. I've been offered a Quad 4C that might be in my price range. Also, the centering jaws on the CSM seem to only handle parts with the right width to length ratio, square parts are not accurately placed. I need to do some TSSOP and QFP parts with 0.5 to 0.65 mm lead pitch. I've been looking to upgrade my Philips CSM84 P&P, it is not accurate enough. I already have the designs, donor feeders, tools, and a Haas Super Mini Mill that barely gets used. Having a reliable capability to do 0402/0201 parts will be amazing. I have to CNC machine the tape sprocket, motor encoder, modify the main casting, and add a gear tensioner. My goal is to do about 60 or so once I get it dialed in. Finally have a pick and place on the way Quad IVC Light actually came on at the garage when I went to collect the ML. Had the tank replaced this week (aftermarket one AU$200 fitted - genuine MB tank AU$496) but that tank replacement did not fix the problem. Who said this is a fairly common fault and recommended a replacement of the coolant tank as the switch is inbuilt and connot be replaced separately.-this thread confirmed this thankyou. I took ML to local ‘so-called-specialist’. In all instances, temperature indicator needle position does not change. My ML has traveled 119,000 Klms (73.5k miles)Įven though fuse was replaced as per Post #64 this thread, the low coolant light has started coming on randomly again - sometimes while stationery - other times while driving. Thought my issue was fixed but it’s not – and gets worse. I can't see any melted loom and all the wiring to the fan is heavy duty so I can't imagine it was that. Is there something else can could have been burning and potentially blown? Or is there another fuse/relay that could have blown? I thought the fan was probably burnt out so replaced the complete unit including the resistor pack (or I think it's called a FCU?). I've since got replacement 7.5a and 10a fuses, but when I fit them they don't blow and the warning lights wont clear, the car remains in limp and the fan doesn't operate at all. I pulled the fuse (which hadn't blown) and let everything cool down checking nothing was alight!Īll was well and I ended up limping the car back on the motorway at a snails pace keeping an eye on the coolant temp (which didn't raise above middle point anyway!). Then there was a clicking noise and the fan stopped. Put a 20a one in and it didn't blow (my last spare fuse!) but smoke started to appear from the engine bay and an electrical burning smell. So as I didn't have another spare 7.5a fuse, put a 10a one in and shortly after that blew too. I replaced the fuse, the fan kicked in at full speed and I drove without the warnings for a few meters before the fuse blew again and the warnings came back with the limp mode activated! The fan stopped too. Also all of the screws had already been removed so I suspect this was an issue in its history too. I wonder if anyone can help, I've recently acquired a 2001 ML 270 CDI and in my first month of ownership I've had the EPC and Coolant warning light come on, limp mode activated and the hidden 10a fuse blown (although mine was actually a 7.5a?).
